Sports & Campaigns – Pramod Krida Yojana

Pramod Krida Yojana is a grassroots Sports broad basing model at the village or the ward level. It primarily promotes the idea of Right to play and is aligned with the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals.

Pramod Krida Yojana aims to unearth hidden talents, polish and provide a platform to exhibit their skills. Our flagship programme will provide free access to sports equipment, infrastructure, coaching and space especially to the underprivileged and economically disadvantaged youth. The programme envisages setting up clubs in areas where the youth are denied access to sports in the absence of a support system. Existing clubs struggling due to lack of funds or domain expertise can also be adopted.

While today sports are perceived an avenue to also earn a livelihood, there is a huge problem of children dropping out. One of the reasons is the fear of future financial stability in case one fails to make the grade. In fact, many successful athletes have lived a life of penury once their career is over. Pramod Krida Yojana will focus on skill development of sports persons and make them employable in the industry. Pramod Krida Yojana is a process of securing the future of sports persons by providing life skills and job-related training. Apart from Scouting, Referee, and academy development modules, these programmes also provide skill development opportunities in other areas of business and engagement. It will tap the avenues offered by the government's Khelo India initiative and the increased interest of the private sector.

VINDHYACHAL SEVA SANSTHAN plans to rope in the corporate sector for funding this initiative. The donors will benefit from CSR tax deductions, increase in brand visibility at the youth clubs as well as sports events and higher consumer loyalty.
